Women's Cross Country and Track & Field

Pfeiffer Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field is on the rise. After a record-breaking year, which saw Women’s Cross Country finish 9th in the Region and both the Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Teams finish USA South Conference Runner-ups. The Track & Field finishes were the highest in school history. As for Cross Country, their 9th place finish in the Region was their highest finish since 2002.

Distance standout Madison Lowery earned USA South Runner of the Year Honors after winning the Cross Country Title for the 2nd year in a row. In addition, Madison earned All-Region Honors and Qualified to the Nationals Championships for the 2nd year in a row. Madison is the only female to ever qualify for Nationals in Cross Country at the Div. II or III at Pfeiffer University. Madison continued her dominance in USA South competition on the Track. Madison was voted Track MVP during the Indoor Championships and won both the 5,000 and 10,000 meters during the Outdoor Championships.
Other Pfeiffer standouts. Elizabeth Jones won the Weight Throw during the USA South Indoor Championships for the third year in a row. Maddie Hladik won the USA South Conference Title in the Steeplechase. Finally, Jaela Thomas broke the school record in both the 100 and 200-meters, to earn USA South All-Conference Honors.
